It was the best day of her life. She was going to meet his mom. Finally after waiting so long, she had got her wish to meet his mom. It was exciting and she was nervous. She had to get into his mother’s good books. She had to, coz she loved him so much. And so did he. But would his mother like her? Would she accept her? It mattered so much to her, so very much.
There were butterflies in her stomach as she walked with him to his home. His mother had asked to see her. And she didn’t know whether she would pass this test or not. Heart beating fast, she climbed up the stairs to his home. She was so nervous that she had gone pale, and he wasn’t helping either, just smiling at her and making her more nervous. When they finally reached the door, he knocked and they waited.
The door opened and she probably saw the sweetest person on earth ever. She did namaste and his mother smiled, and invited her in. She was quiet and scared. And the most irritating thing she witnessed was him laughing at her. She talked to his mother and felt good. And felt like she was at home. That day instantly became the best day of her life. She knew she would be accepted by his mother.
It had been her dream that she would find a mother in her mother in-law, and that dream came true. She visited his home often, and had long chats with his mother. And she loved her, and adored her too. She knew she had found a good friend, and a good mother in his mom. She felt like she would get that love from his mother, which she had always dreamt about, from her own mother, but never got. It had been like she always felt something missing in her life, in her family. Now her family was complete with him, and his mother.
But later, when it didn’t work out with him, and they had to separate, she felt lonely. She had lost him, and his mother. It felt depressing, and she had to do everything she could to get out of that depression. That included some good things and some bad things. She had never thought she would be doing those bad things to just try to forget someone she had loved with all her heart.
But in the end he came back. It felt so wonderful. The world became beautiful again. But her mistakes! He certainly did accept her with her mistakes, but did his mother do the same? Well, she didn’t, she couldn’t. And which mother could like the girl who had fallen in love again with some other guy.
Probably, she will never forgive her. And maybe this girl will never get a mother in her mother in-law. But she knows that she will have to prove herself again to his mother. Only a matter of time, and opportunity. Maybe she will be accepted by his mother. But she knows, she will love him and his mother always, and never give up loving them both. Coz it was her dream, which she has to make true. With truth, honesty and love. She has to find that missing link to complete her family, she had to find that missing mother again, in her life..
